My list of installed printers suddenly disappeared. When I tried to print I
got a message that I need to install a printer.
When I try to reinstall a printer, I get a message that it can't find an LPT
port. The LPT port was still listed in device manager & said it was working.
I removed the LPT port listing, rebooted, and it automatically found the
port and reinstalled it. But I still get the same message when I try to
reinstall a printer.
I run anti-virus and anti-spyware regularly, & they didn't find anything.
I have been using WinMe for years and never had this problem. The printers
are ones I've used for some time as well. Naturally, it is very inconvenient
not to be able to print. Help!
