Can anyone assist me in obtaining a downloadable copy of
Stimon.exe for my computer? I need it to operate my
digital camera with the computer and frankly I am
frustrated. I am not real computer literate so if you
send anything I really do need instructions. I am a
retired teacher and need help! I have Windows 98, version
2 and do not have the installing disk because Compaq
didn't send it to me. Many thanks

Epson tech support told me my stimon.exe file is corrupt
as an explanation for why the software for my CX5200 won't
install. They said you can tell that stimon is corrupt if
SELECT SCANNER is grayed out on the File dropdown menu in
Imaging. It sounds fishy to me. The scanner worked fine
until I had to replace it due to ink delivery problems.
The in-warranty replacement is identical to the previous
one. Hard to believe the simon file went bad just because
I swapped out the all-in-one.

So....how can we get a downloadable copy of stimon.exe? I
have the HP Application Recovery disks (3). Would Win98 be
on one of those?
