I added a new HD making it Master on my Pent III PC and
the old HD slave. I installed Windows 98, the same as the
other HD,
PROBLEM: After the PC has been on for about 20 minutes the
START button jumps from it's usual position on the lower
left corner to the top left corner and is ineffective
(dead!) as is the bottom TaskBar and all it's icons. I
can't even turn the PC off without hitting the main power
switch.
I installed AVG Anti-Virus prgm. to check for viruses, but
it reported the system "clean".
Would re-installing W98 fix it? Any ideas welcome. Thank
You.

Do you have the right video display adapter driver installed? W98 very
seldom will install the correct video driver so if you did not update it
after the W98 installation, that might be the problem,
