On booting, I get a message that a device file that may be
needed to run Windows or a Microsoft application cannot be
found. The file is IPVNMon.vxd. What application does this
file support and what can I do to correct the problem?

Do Start / Run / Sysedit, and look in SYSTEM.INI for a line
DEVICE=IPVNMon.vxd and if it's there then delete it. Do start / Run /
Regedit and search for a reference to IPVNMon.vxd and if you find it then
export that key (for safety) and delete it.
