Screen resolution up the creek!

Have a friend running Win '98 who changed her screen
resolution from 600x800 to something much higher.

Now, her screen is behaving strangly and I can't get it
back. Went in to 98 under safe mode but it defaults. As
soon as I reboot the machine in Normal mode, the screen
screws up again.

Is there anyway of changing this back to 600x800, even by
altering the registry??

PLEASE HELP!!!

In safe mode, access the video settings and choose Apply. Nothing will
change, except that the default safe-mode settings will be applied when
Windows re-starts.
