Hi there..

Have this problem on my friend's PC.. (as mentioned in the subject)

In short the thing is "simply gone"!! when l try to access from the
"start"..."accessories">"entertainment"..

Is there anyway l can "restore" this function without reformat the the whole
PC (which l find it too drastic)??

- Some of my friends told me to go to "add Program" under "Control panel"
using the O/S disk to re-install the function, pretty sketchy and help to
enlight??

thanks
BT

you have no sound card installed (at least the drivers)

go to control panel >system >device manager and see if there is anything
relating to sound and if it has errors
