I could not get Internet Connection icon displayed on Taskbar. I am using DSL modem via a router.
Need to to disconnect internet when I don't need that from the icon in the Taskbar.
At present the internet connection always remains invisibly "ON" whenever the computer is running on
either Windows98 or Xp.
Does anyonyone have a suggestion?

systray icon is only for dial up connection,
adsl is 'always on' thats what it does, install a firewall to block
unauthorised access
