I KNOW this sounds stupid, but when they replaced my
mother-board, somehow one of my favorite '98
theme/screensavers was lost. I was the 'Mystery' theme and
screensaver (the one with the fingerprint/keys/envelope,
etc). Does anyone know ANYwhere I can get it from? I'm
sure not going to re-format to get it!

Thanks, but that's NOT what I meant. I am VERY computer
literate. I know very well how to find/change/apply
themes. When I say I 'lost' the theme, I don't mean I
can't find it - I mean it's NOT THERE anymore. Somehow it
got overwritten/wiped out.I have searched everywhere for a
download of it, but to no avail. Does anyone have any
ideas?? Anyone willing to copy theirs to me?

Perhaps you should have read the entire Microsoft Knowledge Base Article I
referenced. The theme you are looking for is on the Windows 98 CD. I doubt
that you erased it from the CD.
**
If the Desktop Themes icon does not appear in Control Panel, here's how to
add it:

1.. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
3.. Click the Windows Setup tab.
4.. In the Components list, click Desktop Themes.
5.. Click OK. You may need to insert the Windows 98 CD.
