I am getting an illegal operation message that
says "Spool32 caused an invalid page fault in module
Spool32.exe at 17f:00402015. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks to Brian A. for getting me this far.

Let's stick with the first problem for now on getting you to boot to Windows. Please
read my latest response in your first post.

Follow Brian's advice on fixing the other problem.
Here's the fix for the Spool 32 error:
Symantec (Norton Anti-Virus) has some info on their site which says NAV can
interfere with the Spooling process. I followed their advice but the
problem kept cropping up.
I tried the first part of Step 4 in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article on
how to correct the problem, and it did.
You might want to take a look at it. I recommend that you print it out
while the printin's good ;)

More than likely not possible, unless he can now boot to the desktop which he hasn't
mentioned.
