View Full Version : Can't Always Connect To The Net

I don't know why but as long as my laptop's plugged into
my ethernet connection, I have no problem getting on the
net. But if the wire is jostled and disturbed, causing the
computer to lose the connection (the indicator light goes
off for a moment), I cannot continue using the internet
unless I make sure the wire is connected again and restart
my whole computer. It seems the only way that I can
connect to the internet is for me to have it connected
before I start up. The internet won't work if I connect
the wire after startup. What's wrong and can I change
this ?

This sounds like a hardware problem, not a software problem.
