browser problem

I have been on the phone with SBC as they are my internet
provider (DSL). They suggested I call you. I can get all
of the sites, but I cannot get the pictures & logos, etc.
It is not in all the sites -- just some. Instead of the
logos, picutures, words,etc., I get boxes with "x's them.
Same in some emails. For instance, pictures were sent to
me through snapfish and all I get are the boxes and x's --
no pictures. However, someone else sent picures another
way, and I received those. We've reset cookies and
internet options, etc. Nothing has worked. Any
suggestions? I would appreciate your help. I have
Windows 98, a Gateway computer purchased about 5 years ago.
