All of which tells us precisely nothing about 'you' - except that your web
designer is an idiot.
That page took fully one minute to load over a 512K coonnection - and could
have been loaded in 3 seconds.
If you want to make a point, then I suggest that you find another way to do
so.

Since the conversion of analog to digital on a PC is rather a moot point
(there's too many options to make it a worthwhile discussion as originally
phrased), you may want to reconsider the question - putting it in a context
would be a good start.

Neither. nVidia VIVO through the graphics card and ATI VIVO through the
eHome TV Tuner. But I hardly ever capture analog these days..... I'm almost
entirely digital and when I have to capture analog it's often a pass-thru
via the digital camcorder.

I've never had any Dazzle or Pinnacle or Adaptec hardware on any PC.

I am very sorry your Mom did not teach you excellent Southern manners.
And we Americans never (designer is an idiot.) design for the British who
would not leave for American ingenuity.

I'd use a VIVO card. It's the simplest option and often the least expensive
one. My personal favorite is the Pixelview (aka Prolink) AGP 256mb FX5700
card which was about $130. It's a good graphics card and with the VIVO
serves a dual purpose nicely. Comes with Cyberlink's PowerDirector v3.

Thanks, Cari, I ordered one today.
eVGA GeForce FX 5700 LE Video Card
(256MB, AGP 8X, DVI, 2D/3D w/ TV-Out - SKU: 256A8N333TX)

Been working hard on my two new domains.... with a collection of multimedia
clips for Orlando Bloom and ... something I wanted to do for ages; a real
home for Sky on the Internet. For those of us old enough to remember this
wonderful science fiction series, I hope I do it justice. It's been twenty
eight years since Sky was aired (yes, it really is that long ago, and we
really are that old!)... and I give my thanks to Cherrald and Steve for
helping me fulfill my dreams of creating this new domain, and to Marc
Harrison, Stuart Lock and Richard Speight for also staying in my memory. I
finally had more than a few minutes to add some updates.... and hopefully
will do more in the next few weeks.

TV Out is not VIVO. It needs Video In and well as Video Out.
