I have a windows 98SE system that I am working with that
has an interesting problem. It uses Dial Up and connects
to the internet fine, as far as the hardware goes, but the
software can not see the internet access.

From the command prompt I can ping successfully using both
IP addresses and URLs, though no software recognizes the
connection. I have uninstalled and reinstalled TCP/IP
both using the quick way and using the complete "rename
and delete all the files" way that is listed on Microsoft
support. I have installed the DUN 1.4 update. I have run
all forms of virus and adware scanners including Hijack
This etc....

I'm at a loss.

Help!

Actually, I got it solved. I gave the lspfix a try and it
cleared it up!
