I am having trouble with my internet hanging so I ran the
internet repair tool in sys. tools. It said it could not
repair because I have version 6.1.5.122 of file
PROTEXE.OCX and it needs to be version 6.1.9.727 or
later. As far as I know I have all of the updates
installed. Thanks in advance,Bob.

I cannot find any information about PROTEXE.OCX. Are you certain that you
have spelt it correctly?

Regarding your system hanging, check out the advice at the URL below:

That's better. You should find the correct copy in a file called
Iemil_3.cab or Iew2k_3.cab in a folder called 'windows update setup files'.
You can use system file checker to replace the existing copy (safely) with a
new copy.
