View Full Version : Media Player(v9) wont play AVI's from vid camera

My brother-in-law is trying to play AVI files from his video camera but WMP(v9)
only plays audio from the files, no video. The AVI File type box is checked in
Tools, Option, File Types. Does 98 need some type of add-on codec to play AVI
video?

Thanks,

Bill

Open it in quicktime instead. Might even want to change your file types.
Even the very old version 3 of quicktime (called movie player) seems to work
better.

You need to identify what codecs are used.
This should probably tell you what you need.
