What you should do is format the drive and reinstall W98. Once it is
working right and all drivers are installed, defragment the hard drive.
Then to prevent any data from being recovered, use a software product such
as:

Eraser: http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ Freeware that overwrites the "blank"
data on a
hard drive.

Hi Ron,
I went to the site to download the 'Eraser' program but it didnt
download, well, according to winzip.
I did it 3 times and two different download sites, each time when I
went to unzip, it said it wasnt a valid archive.
Could you do me a huge favour and try it?
Also, the download was over in under 10 seconds.

regards and thanks Jane

Clear your Internet cache and try again,
or at least find the file in the cache and delete it.
