I have read another post about someone with the same problem as me. I have a
Compaq computer that came with these 2 quickrestore disks, that are used to
put windows 98 and some other things needed for starting up the computer on
the computer. Iv had this computer for a good while now (obviously otherwise
it wouldnt have windows 98 on it.) and i have moved away from the original
state from where i bought this model from. the compaq's SKU thing is
153298-003, it doesnt currnently have internet access and i need to get
something more then 16 colors, it used to be able to play Mechwarrior 4, now
i can only play the card games it comes with. All help is GLADDLY accepted.
(by the way, my spelling isnt the greatest, nor is my grammer and ect. sorry)

Generally, one of the quick restore CDs will have a folder with drivers for
your computer and that would include video drivers. Browse the CDs looking
for driver files and install the correct drivers for your system.

If you don't find this, then go to the HP/Compaq web site and see if you can
find your specific system. Http://www.hpq.com Click Software and Driver
Downloads and put in the information for your system. You should then be
able to download the most recent display driver for your system.
