My start button and task bar are missing. How do I make them reappear?
Thanks!

First, press the Microsoft key on your keyboard (if there is one) to see if
the start menu appears. If it does, go to the location where it appears
from (normally the bottom of the screen) and move the cursor up and down
slowly. When a double headed arrow appears, left click and slowly pull the
taskbar up. If it appeared from the side, you would move the cursor from
side to side.

The Windows short cut to the Start Button is
Ctrl & Esc (together).
This may speed up your repairs.

Drag the mouse down below the bottom of the screen.

If the Task Bar pops up:

- right-click on a blank space on the Taskbar
- click on Properties
- remove the check mark in "Auto Hide"
- click Apply
- click OK
