I am using Win98SE.
I am unable to clear the history inside documents menu !

Please help !

Right-click on a blank spot on the Taskbar
Left-click on Properties
Left-click on the Start Menu Programs tab
Left-click the Clear button
Left-click OK

r.c. vacant area on taskbar > c. properties > c. Start Menu Programs >
c. 'Clear' in Documents menu > OK

I have followed the steps but the history of the files opened are still there.
It cannot be cleared.

I have followed the steps but the history of the files opened are still there.
It just cannot be cleared.

Try this:
Explorer->C:\Windows->Recent
(if not visible..... View->Folder Options->View->Show All Files)
then
Edit->Select All and delete all entries.
