It was reinstalled over the old Me. The Microsoft support
page you referred me to had a solution to the blank pages.

The only problem now is a script error for the "Welcome to
Windows" thing. Can I just delete the file ...Micros~1\Intro\
content.hta or do I need to fix the cause of the script error?

Dick,
How did you reinstall Win Me? Was it a clean install, that is to a
freshly formatted disk or partition or did you reinstall Win Me over
itself? If the latter this will not have necessarily repaired damage that
pre-existed. The KB below suggests a possible cause for this problem and
a solution.

See MS KB 309663 - "Control Panel, Help, and System Restore Are Empty or
Partially Empty" (http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=309663).

Dick,

I'm pleased to read you've managed to fix the blank page problem. I
suspected the problem was going to be the one described in the KB article
I mentioned.

Without knowing the actual script error you are seeing it is a little hard
to know what to advise and the problem could be that you have limited
scripting, perhaps as part of the security settings you have in place. On
the other hand since the blank page problem was also due to problems with
Jscript you may need to reinstall Java Script. Perhaps the easiest way of
doing this would be to install Windows Script 5.6 for Win Me which can be
downloaded from the Microsoft Download Centre
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0a8a18f6-249c-4a72-bfcf-fc6af26dc390&DisplayLang=en).

Can I please make one small request? If possible when posting a follow up
post could you please try and keep to the original thread and subject. I
was initially a little confused as I remembered posting a reply but
couldn't find the thread until I eventually realised you have created a
new thread with the subject "Re: Reinstalling Me" rather than continuing
the one you started with the subject "Three blank pages....".

I tried to REPLY using OE, but that didn't work. I got
an error message about specifying a newsgroup.
However, there was already a newsgroup in the TO box.
So I had to create a new post and copy all the old stuff
into the new post. I forgot to copy the old subject also.
Sorry.

Reinstalling Windows Script solved the Windows video problem.
Thanks,
