i have an Epson stylus photo 820 and i have been emailing with epson to fix
my problem and nothing has worked. My problem is my printer won't print. I
get no error messages when i click print and if i'm printing from Word the
little printer icon comes up and counts off the page numbers like it's going
to print, but the job never appears in the print jobs queue. my computer is
communicating with the printer because i have an ink monitor and that says,
"ready to print", but nothing comes out. when i do a nozzle check and head
clean the printer will print the test page. I've had this printer hooked up
and working with this computer before, but i haven't had it hooked up since i
reinstalled windows ME, so i'm thinking maybe i didn't load something
properly when i reinstalled. please help.

What happens when you print the Win Me test page? Select Printer (Start |
Settings | Printers), right click and then click "Print Test Page" which
is on the General tab. Have you tried using the Printing Troubleshooter?
This can be accessed by clicking No when asked if the test page printed
correctly or via Help & Support . Search for Troubleshooter and you will
see the Printing Troubleshooter in the list in the left hand column under
"Troubleshooting".

the test page would not print, so i went through the troubleshooting and when
i printed in MS-DOS, i could print. everything that troubleshooter suggested
didn't work. i went all the way to the end. i tried to print from IE and
from word and in both cases the job never appeared in the queue...not even
for a split second. i'm messing around with some of the settings to see if i
can get a combination to work. any other suggestions?
