Everytime I run Search & Destroy, a file called DSOExploit comes up as a
problem. I have Spybot fix the problem. Then next time, I run Search &
Destroy, there's DSOExploit again.

Can someone tell me what this file is and why I keep getting it?
Thanks, Eileen

Known bug. Either ignore it or tell spybot not to detect it anymore by right
clicking on the detection.

maybe.... I get that too I think it's something to do with
IE/WindowsUpdate (remember a DSO is supposed to be a good thing)

Spybot S & D version 1.3.1 TX fixes the DSO Exploit false positives.
It's available at the following link:

And Spybot still identifies the DSO exploit? If so, I'd suggest
following Alias' recommendation to have Spybot ignore it.

Hi Eileen,
I noticed that you unnecessarily updated to the "TX" build just to avoid the
"DSO" flag - that was overkill but as long as you have a working SpyBot,
I'm happy -

"How To: Configure SpyBot Not to Flag DSO Exploit".

As this has previously been discussed, to clarify, the "exploit" is a long-since
patched IE problem that /no/ longer exists.
