i recently purchased a k-byte 256MB PC133 DIMM memory upgrade for my
computer. the guy at staples said this would work. i have a systemax 933Mhz
PIII, currently with 256MB of memory. i removed the two 128MB cards and
installed the memory on its own and ran the Belarc Advisor and it states
that slot A1 has 128 MB memory, slot A0 is empty. i tried in both slots only
for the info to be flip-flopped. is there something else i need to update?
is my computer able to accept this memory? any info anyone can give would be
appreciated. thanks.

Sounds as if the guy at Staples was wrong. Return the memory and check a
Web site like crucial.com to find memory that is compatible with your
system.

i pulled one of the memory sticks out and here is what it says: 128MB, SYN
DIMM, 133. the other label states 128MB, SYN DIMM, H. i don't know if
anymore of this info is helpful, but the label on the new memory stick
states 256MB PC133.
thanks in advance again.
