opening jpg images

I uninstalled ACDSee trial afterwards I lost the thumbs would not display in
my pictures and the images would not open in internet explorer, I did a
repair on IE601 then followed the KB article to get the previews back in my
pictures so thats all ok now, but when I click an image it opens in IE
insstead of the preview program how do I get it back as it was ? I have
tried to alter the properties so it opens in preview allways but this
changes the icon to the preview icon this is not right it wasnt like that
before.

Hi,
Go to http://www.aumha.org/regfiles.php#thumb Download and run (merge) this
REG file "Restore JPEG Preview capability..."

This registry edit is very safe, but if you create a restore point before
running it, you can easily undo the change if necessary. Programs>
Accesories> System Tools> System Restore.
