Hi Francois,
It may be possible. *Don't do anything more on the computer you deleted the
file from!* Don't even shut ti down. On another machine, see this article,
and the link to a free download to try and recover that file.
Let us know how things work out.

Only with significant effort and the help of special software. There might
even be a free evaluation version available that would handle one or a few
files without costing you, otherwise they run $50 to $100 for decent apps.

Most important thing to do at this moment is to unplug the machine--don't
shut down, don't do *anything* else, just unplug it. The longer that machine
runs, the more likely some other file will be written to the cluster(s)
where that file resides. (Deleted files remain where they are, they just
have a mark that says "OK to overwrite this space".)

Go to a different machine to come back here for additional suggestions for
recovery.

I've had success with Recover4all, downloadable at
http://www.recover4all.com .
It's freeware for the limited version, or inexpensive shareware if
you need the full version. In the meantime, DON'T USE THE
MACHINE FOR ANYTHING, DON'T EVEN TURN IT OFF, IN ORDER TO
PREVENT OVERWRITING THE CLUSTERS OF THE DELETED FILES.
Those files are actually still on the hard drive, but if you
overwrite their clusters, they are gone for good. Use another
machine to download the utility to a floppy.
