View Full Version : Trouble uninstalling

I installed a program that was not copatable with my windows ME.. after
causing various proplams i have tried to uninstall it but it wont leave...
when i click uninstall it tries to work but then jams up, says it finished
and freezes... then after i reboot its still there... any suggestions?

Where did you try to uninstall it from. The best place is Add/Remove, which
is at Run/Settings/ControlPanel......then double click on Add/Remove and see
if it is in there. If it is, then highlight it and click on Add/Remove.
You may have to go into Windows Explorer to find what is left behind.

Can you ask the author of the program?
Can you supply the name and url of the program?
(In case someone else has installed it or someone is willing to test
it out)

If neither Alan or Heather's suggestions help you could perhaps think of
using system restore to roll back your system to a checkpoint created
before you installed this program but only do so if that was no more than
say a week ago.
