I am in need of some help. For some reason I am getting the following error
message when I print copies of emails or anything from the internet: An
error has occurred in the script on this page. Access is denied.

I am using windows me and am usuing AOL. My emails are AOL. AOL tech told
me it was a hardware error. My computer is compaq and their techs told me
it was AOL.

I have done everything they have both suggested and I can't resolve it.
Anyone have any ideas?

Just a swag on my part, but, I suspect that your 'internet settings' may be
causing the problem. Any program capable of blocking scripts may be the
cause, i.e. AV, firewall, Explorer, AOL. I think one of the resident gurus
uses AOL and may be able to point you toward specifics.

According to my system information my browser is:
Microsoft IE Build 6.0.2800.1106.

I also have McAfee Firewall and Anti Virus installed.

Ok... Did you take a look at this:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q293/1/76.ASP

I have heard that this issue could evolve following the "upgrade" from IE5
to IE6. Does that apply to you too?

The Firewall and AntiVirus most likely are irrelevant with this problem.

Check this link out. It may help:

Thanks for the help. I read the article but I do not have any of the
windows me start up discs. This version was automatically installed when I
received it.

I guess I need to acquire a start up disc in order to proceed.

Not necessarily. The first article that I pointed to seemed only to apply
to IE5.x users. Since you have IE6, it would probably be dangerous to
recreat the IE5.x file mentioned in the article. Instead.. I remember
seeing something about the no print issue in preview for IE6 users. It was
about a simple adjustment you could make in the "disable script error
messages" somewhere in IE. I'll try to dig that up again and post that
here.

Ok... here is something else I found that might work:

"open IE - View - Encoding: - unselect AUTO-SELECT, then in set to Unicode."

Apparently the shdoclc error can also occur if the website you are visiting
contains an "=" somewhere in a HTML Comment section.

In Internet Explorer, go up to the top and to "View"

Go down to Encoding, make sure "Auto-Select" is not selected.

Select "Unicode(UTF-8)"

Now open up your Outlook Express

Go to "View", then to "Encoding" ans select "Unicode(UTF-8)"

Close off your browsers and Outlook Express.

Re-open the programs and (hopefully) you will be able to print and you won't
have
this problem again.

Hope this helps!
