Restore file over 25 gigs

This is a Big Thank You to Mike Maltby
I have a 40 gig hard drive over 25 gigs were taken up by the _restore
dir. I had tried MS Support web site and just about everything I
could think of. I bought a DVD recorder and have been dumping files
to dvd back-up, plus uninstalling seldom used programs.

BUT within minutes of remembering that there were these Microsoft
public newsgroups, I had found your directions on fixing the problem
AND Recovered my disk space


Before your directions less than 600 mb free

now 26.3gig free

Thanks for two things.
a) For letting us know that you have fixed your problem, and more
importantly,
b) For reminding those who use these newsgroups that the answer to many
problems have often been posted before and that it is a good idea to
search the newsgroups for a solution before asking for help.
