Hi chaps, wonder if you can help

Got a home network with three pc's two with XP home and the other running 98
conected to a netgear rp614 router.
problem is I can't print ( well i can) let me explain. When i send a print
job to my hp930 feed by netgear print server the pc doesn't matter which one
will eventually error 'failed to print'. When I pull out the power lead ,and
imediatley replace, fron the print server the printer will imediatley start
printing but will print one character then stop. if left it will repint the
whole job ok the any further jobs the evening will be ok

any ideas

My first thought is that a new print server might be in order.

Having had loads of problems with Netgear print servers we decided to ditch
them and get network printers, problems i experienced were as follows

Print server would stop responding unless powered down then back up again
Job's would disappear and not get printed
Slow printing speed
Loss of communication on network so we could not even see the print servers
Incompatibility issues with some Epson printers

You may be best looking for a firmware update for your print server, either
that or ditch the lot and by a network ready printer, saves you a lot of time
and hassle

I have a Hawking print server and haven't had problems with it.

It has 1 parallel and 2 USB interfaces. Works great and cheap, too.
