During a repair process recently I disabled Scandisk following the procedure
outlined in KB-152404. I decided now to ENABLE it again and have done so. But
I noticed in the article that it mentions the Msdos.sys file would have been
changed to add the value of AutoScan=0 during the disabling process. Would
this be changed back when I enabled it again or do I have to do this
manually? Can someone direct me?

That setting is how the enable/disable process is implemented. You can do it
manually or you can do it using the Disable/Enable option, but the result is
the same. Does Scandisk run if you do an illegal shutdown?
