Using an asdl modem, Speedstream 5100, on sbcglobal.

They have a new block of ip numbers, and many places filter or block
70.240.x.x as bogons.

I always seem to get that number, but if I restart several times, I can get
an different ip.

What's the best or fastest way to keep trying for a better ip assignment?
W98 takes forever to restart.

If I use winipcfg and release and renew all, it just comes back with the
same ip.

Contact SBC Global or check their online support to make sure you have your machines
settings correct.
