Hi everyone,
I did install IE6 recently with Microsoft update. Now got the CD with IE6,
but the problem is, when I'm trying to install (as demand) pan-european
language support, IE wants to install it from Internet instead my CD. How do
I make IE to look for it from CD, not from Microsoft update page? I'm using
Windows 98SE.
Thanks if you can help.

Which CD are you working with, the IE6-SP1 CD or the Security Update CD
(Feb-04)?

Do you know for a fact that Pan-European Language Support files are on the
CD you have?

It's IE6-SP1 CD, I'm trying to install on demand from CD, but all options I
get is download it from Internet. There is box with only this option and I'm
not able to write there anything. I'm on GPRS, so I don't want to spend time
downloading those files from there. I know I have to edit some registry-key,
but which-one is it? Had same situation with IE5 and had to uninstall it and
reinstall from CD.

Run the Setup from the CD. Choose Minimal or Custom installation.

Well this is the easy solution, I'm looking for harder-one :)
I wanna change that option in registry.

Well, the easy solution will change it, too, <g>. And I don't have the other
one--I'm using XP and don't have 9x handy, and XP doesn't do it the same
way.

Ah, ha, ha! NOW, it is a race between a quake & XP-radiation to do you
in! But DON'T go turning into no doppelganger, Terhune!

Now you can find it really easily--just search the Registry for the path to
the CD version's SETUP.EXE (search for the full path.) Searching the
Registry for an unknown URL is a lot harder.

Don't worry, next time you need to use a download version (if there *is* a
next time for Win9x!), that Setup will revert to the download method.
