I am installing a USB device on a Dell inspiron 5000
notebook, it prompts for win98 second edition cd, I have
just one cd from DELL but it does not like it.

Where can I find such files like hidserv.exe,hidclass.....

Is it available on the Internet ....as I don't have a 98
second edition cd with me.

Hi,

look in c:\windows\options\cabs or install... Have you searched for win*.cab
files on your computer?

Roy

Go to Start > Find > Files/Folders.
In the Named box type: Win98*.cab and Press Enter
or
type: *.cab and Press Enter

If you come up with a folder that has many .cab files, it may be the Windows setup
files placed on the drive. They are usually found in c:\windows\options\cabs but this
is not always the case. If they are the setup files, when asked for the CD, point to
that folder.
