I got a lot of problems while using xp so i decided i
should switch back to win98 se. i have 2 drives and i want
to keep the things in D:\.
but for some reason, when i get to the options
1)Start Win98 setup from cd
2)Start computer with cd-rom support
3)start computer without cd-rom support (i chose 1),
it shows a couple of strings (device: oemcd001.....pci bus
scan.....so on) then gets stuck at [Drive D = Driver
OEMCD001 Unit 0].

I still have WindowXp installed, how do i uninstall it?
How do i install Window98 SE? I also need to keep my d
drive.

Please help, thx

If your C: drive is formatted to FAT32 you can just reformat it to
remove XP, but if you used NTFS then you will have to use fdisk to
delete all current partitions on C: and then create FAT32 partitions.
If you are concerned about loosing the data on your D: drive whilst
doing this, simply disconnect it then reconnect it once Win98 is
installed.

However if drive D: is formated as NTFS then you cannot read it from Windows
98

Yes you can - with assistance. It's only the boot partition which absolutely
must be FAT.:
