View Full Version : Scan disk at start up..every time

My son's machine (Win 98SE) has developed a quirk. With every start up,
reboot or whatever, the programs goes to Scan Disk. He let it run once and it
took almost 6 hours to complete. He does not have much on the drives so I
wonder why it took so long, but more important, why does it go to Scan Disk
every boot ? He did get a virus in Explorer and is now usning Netscape as all
the fixes we found did not remove the Explorer problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
