My XP Home editions' chkdsk.exe - autochk.exe won't work on bootup !
The Recovery console won't install ! (recovery consosle is NOT installed
by deafult with XP home - and even when installed is only partially
functional i.e. automated recovery is unavialable). ...but, seeing as it
won't install anyway I don't have to worry about that do I !

Norton SystemWorks, when installed into XP ......most of the
"Works...huh!...vanish / do not appear" (features and tools / utilities
etc. they're simply not there !) ...obviously Norton is afraid to tackle
anything NTFS !

It's becoming more and more clear to me that I may need to reinstall and get
XP Home ed. sat on a FAT32 partition, so that all my old FAT32 based
utilities work ...should I need to tinker with my hard disks.

regards, Richard

Right! XP is a black hole that has been swallowing up all our MVP's! Can
you see them in there, RJK-- Kelly, Nutcase, Nichols, etc.? Even
Colorado's nose may have been sucked in!

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
Naturally, you will not sue,
should things get worse after this,
