I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled
windows 98. I'm having trouble recognizing my cd-rom. I
tried using the original floppy in the A: drive and
typing "INSTALL", but it doesn't work. Any suggestions
on how to make this work and what I might be doing wrong?

Are you saying that you have completed the re-installation, and you now need
to get Windows to see the CD-ROM drive, or are you saying that you can't get
the re-installation procedure to see the CD-ROM drive so that you can set up
Windows 98 from the CD?

You have indicate that Windows is re-instaled, but inserting a floppy and
running an install procedure is more like what you would do prior to
re-installing.
