I was looking to create a custom bootable CD. I've been noticing that my
floppy disk drive is on it's last leg and instead of replacing it I would
like to create a bootable cd which would include all my startup disks from
win 95 to win 2003. So that on any given occassion I could use my custom cd
instead of my startup disks to install or repair any operating system from
win 95 to win 2003. Does anybody know where I can find information on how to
create this type of bootable CD?

Hi Griffin,

Go to www.bootdisk.com and scroll down to Bootable CD.
You can also copy the cab file to the bootable CD. I would
make one for each OS that is not already bootable from CD.

What about operating sustems like Win 2000 & Windows XP Pro, which have more
than one startup disk?

I am not familiar with XP's boot disks. This would be a great
question to put to the XP newsgroups.

For XP/Win2K mulitiple recovery diskettes, problems lies in putting the boot
files in the proper location on a bootable HD for imaging to CD. Everything
else is elementary.
