I have a video card that I can only find drivers for 95, and
NT3.51/NT4. I guess they never figured out the PnP thing.

Is there any chance one of these drivers wil work on a 98SE system ?

Thanks

Have you used them ? before I learned better I cought an amazing
amount of spyware from driverguide.com, video-drivers.com, etc. I
don't trust them to get any identifying information. I could enter
garbage, but then I'd format my C drive and reinstall my system just
to make sure they didn't leave me any gifts. (I had AV running, and
was behind a firewall. I didn't click "YES" to anything they asked.)

There are about 900 hits for that search, and it's lots of dead links
and dead ends.

My original question stands. Is there any chance 95 or nt3.51
drivers will work on a 98SE system ?

Thanks.

I've used them and they are no worse/better than thousands of other
places on the web for spyware. If you care about spyware, you should
be running a cleanser such as Ad-Aware et al regularly. AV programs
are irrelevant for this kind of thing ... they don't touch them nor
are they designed to. Likewise, firewalls don't stop them.

Reformat/re-install to remove everyday spyware is way over the top.

Do a backup or make an image file of the system and then
do a little experimenting to see if the Win95 or WinNT 3.51
drivers will work. Generally, if Win98SE (or any current
OS does not provide drivers for peripheral devices already
manufactured at the time of its release, then the updated
drivers probably do not exist.
