Administrative Tools in ME?

[Confused]

I was trying to create a web-site & in doing so, the
directions said to go to "Administrative Tools" in Control
Panel. Went to Control Panel, but saw NO "Administrative
Tools". Am using Windows ME--Does Windows ME
offer "Administrative Tools"--if so, WHERE would they be?
If not, how does one go about creating/building a web-site
in Windows ME?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Win Me has no "Administrative Tools". You say you wish to create a
web-site. This can be done using notepad if you know the necessary html
if not use an application such as FrontPage. If however you mean you wish
to HOST a web site then Microsoft do not support the use of IIS on Win Me
and you will either have to find using Google on how to force the
installation of IIS on to Win Me or alternatively use an operating system
that is designed to be used as a web server.

Thanksfor the "clarification",Mike. Iwish toBuild my
OWN /"create" my OWEN web-site--since I have no knowledge
of html--guess I'll be lQQking for
that "Frontpage"application you mentioned.
Does "Frontpage" also include "how-to"s on including Audio
ontoa web-site?

that contains PWS, you might be able to install PWS but
MS does not support PWS in WinMe.

Some folks have gotten PWS to work with WinME but it is not supported and
many more have had problems with it.

Use the patch from this Microsoft Knowledgebase Article first:

Install PWS in custom MODE and ONLY install Transaction Server, SETUP will
prompt you, that other components are needed. Get it down to basically
just Transaction Server, core components and MDAC. Reboot and then run
Setup again via Add/Remove and install the other components.
(Personal Web Server, etc..)

If you already have PWS installed, try removing everything via Add/Remove
but Transaction Server then reboot. Run Setup again to add the rest.
