Does exist something like share.exe (it installs file sharing and locking
capabilities in W95) in Windows 98?

Let me explain better.

I made a bootable hard disk with W95 (did not install all W95, only the
files for operating it like MSDOS). After that I installed a DOS program in
that pseudo W95 platform. The problem "That work station is already open"
was solved including share.exe in the autoexec.bat.

Now I´m trying to do the same in W98 but there is no Share.exe?

What can I do?

If I install the whole W98 and run the problem in a DOS window the problems
does not present.

What installs W98 on its complete startup that I'm leaving out?

When Win98 is running Vshare handles the sharing issue. It is loaded
automatically by Windows and cannot be loaded in DOS. To run your program
at the command prompt without running Windows, load Share.exe just as you
did on the Win95 system.
