Thanks, although I don't have a PC with it installed, the
phone no. looks promising. I'm in the UK though, whwre did
you find the number and is there a UK (0800 or +44) number?

Microsoft Contact Centre: 0870 60 10 100 is the only number I can come up
with. I would give them a call and explain that you found in the MS
newsgroups that MS US Customer Service will provide a W98 product key for
retail and OEM versions.
