When I disconnect my digital camera from the USB port my computer reboots. Of
course this doesn't happen when I turn the camera off first, but it is
definitely a problem when I forget to do so. I seem to remember seeing
reference to a downloadable patch somewhere, but I can't find it again. Can
anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

There is a patch that enables removing "hot" or "on" devices from
USB/Firewire interface. But, you have to remember to select it from the
system tray and disable the device before removing it. Either way, you have
to remember something. So the point is moot.
