View Full Version : My W98SE does not complete start-up most of the time.

About two times out of three W98SE hangs up after it fills out the Enter
Network Password Dialog Box.
When it doesn't hang up it takes 3 to 6 minutes before the Desktop appears.
Any suggestions to make it start-up more reliably and ideally faster?

Many thanks!!
When I opened your suggested website, that reminded me to install Startup
Manager [I have used it for my other operating systems].
After I disabled a half-dozen of these startup pests, W98 has now started up
fully in under 2 minutes 3 times in a row and again after using XP
