Within the last few days I have been getting the following
message, "Insert Interactive CD Sampler disc". I have
uninstalled the Microsoft Interactive CD Sampler program
but I still get the message. How can I get rid of this
annoyance.

When do you get this message?

Edit the Registry

Remove the shortcut to
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IMGSTART.EXE

Look for it in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run\Iomega Startup Options

I get this message on my desktop on boot up or reboot.

Answer is probably as Hugh Candlin says, unless it's some *other* program
that is doing essentially the same thing. The command to delete will be
located in the same place Hugh mentions, it just may have a different name.

If you aren't sure, go to Start=>Run and type in MSINFO32, then <Enter>.
Click on the plus sign by Software Environment, then click on Startup
Programs.
Click the mouse in the right-hand pane, then press Ctrl-A, then Ctrl-C.
Open a reply here and use Ctrl-V to paste in the list. Send.
