Windows 98 is fine and still supported by MS as far as
windows updates however the browser you're using "IE5.0"
is not supported...upgrade to IE6SP1. Also making sure
you make regular visits to the windows update site,
scanning the system with a up to date anti-virus program
and a spyware scanner/remover like Ad-Aware will work
wonders :)
With IE to stop seeing the notification of scripting
errors popping up every 2 mins you could also try going to
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and under "browsing"
check "disable script debugging" and uncheck "Display a
notification about every script error".

Not if you're happy where you are.
