I am trying to add a network printer on a 98 machine.
It's installed and shared on an XP machine. Also, the
Win98 drivers are installed on the XP machine. When I
browse for the printer, the add wizard does not see the
XP machine. I have a router installed and I'm unable to
assign static IP's due to my ISP. Do I need to install
the computers into a hub, then the router?

No you don't, you have to enable NetBeui from both computers because of
W98's networking lacks. You can use dynamic IP's as well, it doesn't
matter whether they are static or not.
