There is no list of users at the Windows logon screen. On
the Configuration tab of Network, the properties bar for
Microsoft Family Logon is not highlighted. Is this
normal? How can I determine if this feature is working?

What network client is set to validate logins? If Microsoft Family Logon is
not selected, you won't see a user list. This should be on the first page
of the network properties dialog.

Microsoft Family Logon is selected under Primary Network
Logon. I suspect that some software that this setting
addresses may be missing or corrupted. Is there some way
to determine this or reinstall just that module?

You could always remove and re-add it from the Network Properties screen.
