I recently had my xp get fried by lightning and I had to
get my old computer out of basement. I remember in 98 or
when I upgraded it to ME there was a flying thru stars in
space screensaver. It was exactly like the star field in
the series StarTrek showed, white dots of varied size in
space and as you moved thru them they streaked by your
windows leaving trails. You could change the number of
stars, the speed at which you flew thru space, and one
other effect that I can't remember at this time. Does
anyone remember it? If it's on the 98 program would you
leave a post? I can't find it. It could be on the Me
upgrade I have but I want to make sure it's not on the 98
disk before I upgrade it. Thank you aKaLeeLoo

From your description I would guess it is Flying Through Space
("ssstars.scr"). You can set warp speed and number of stars. It can be
extracted from the W98 installation CD using SFC. It's also available on the
www at a number of places:
