I have a 200mhz Pentium I, 128mb ram, 10gb hdd, running
Win98 SE. The motherboard BIOS has support for USB, but
there where no USB sockets included so I bought a 3rd
party USB/PCI card (USB 1.1).
The card works fine for my USB mouse, but if I try to use
my HP Photosmart 120 camera in either Digital Camera or
Disk Drive mode; or try using my flash disk, the system
freezes until I disconnect the devices. For the flash disk
this happens when I open My Computer and it interrogates
the Removable Disk for its Used Space/Total Capacity.
I installed all drivers as per manufacturer's
instructions, including rebooting the pc after installing
above mentioned hardware.
